The University's inaugural Assembly for the Arts, "Opening the Door to Creativity," on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m., in Old Cabell Hall Auditorium. Hosted by Vice Provost for the Arts Elizabeth Turner and Vice President for Research Tom Skalak, the event will feature Tony Award-winning dancer and choreographer Bill T. Jones, who comes to the University as artist in residence the week of Nov. 9-15. While here, Mr. Jones and his dance company will create "100 Migrations," part of a major new dance and theater piece to commemorate the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth.
