The Migration
The migration itself is a procession of 100 people performing movement gestures (known as “shapes”) while walking across the Lawn. The procession may start at the Rotunda and progress in single file towards the south end, ending at Old Cabell Hall. The exact direction and route may be reversed or adjusted when the performance is choreographed.
The audience is intended to be along the sides of the Lawn on the walkways and porticos, and move along with the performers. The performance will be 60-75 minutes in length.
